Overview & Suggestions for Navigating this Site

At the top of most every page, you'll see the major navigational buttons. With one click, these will get you to the top page for each of this website's major divisions: "research", "feedback", etc. Many of these sections, once arriving there, will also have buttons running down the left border. These are the navigational aids for the subdivisional areas within that section. All of this is designed so that the reader can move quickly from any section of this website to any other section while, at the same time, having a graphical representation of where he is at at any given moment.

Author's note: first available chance -- as priority allows -- we plan to change this page to a "site map" -- a page listing each of the pages at this site. Keep tuned.

DISCUSSION OF   MAJOR SECTIONS:

LATEST NEWS Section: Everything at this website that is either recently updated, or of particular importance will be listed here. The purpose is to enable frequent viewers to quickly know if anything's changed since their last visit. (Also, note the "update" dates at the bottom of each page.)

M
MY HISTORY & TREATMENT Section: This section chronicles the period of my own Lyme history from diagnosis to treatment. At this time — and in fact, this is one of the major purposes of this website — I do not take antibiotics. Not that I was cured; my illness was tertiary (or late-stage), but I do not like antibiotics, and I have sought out and researched and experimented with various natural health alternatives. These days my health is at times equal to, and at times superior to the period during which I took antibiotics.

SEARCH
SEARCH Section: This page is a search engine that allows the viewer to be able to search any term or set of terms through the website. This will be particularly useful in the search of the medical research documents we have on file. For instance, cancer AND vitamins should show up one of the journal research articles here linking (along with its discussion) these two subjects.

ALTERNATIVE TREATMENT INFORMATION NFORMATION Section: This is the listing, with a bit of discussion, for those products which I now believe merit the most attention — and do take; as well as those which I've tried and no longer find beneficial.

JOURNAL & INFORMATION
JOURNAL & INFORMATION Section: This is the main "workhorse" of the site, with four principal areas. The main one (Called the Stacks) is where the medical research is compiled and organized by subject area. Each article will be highlighted in the important areas so as to be readable by non-professionals. The whole purpose of this is to enable you and your physician to make an informed and researched judgement as to your health-care. Some of the research might be what you'd expect to find, however some of it is sure to surprise you (as it did me) when you come across it. Within each article, there is a section that sometimes contains the Website author's comments on it; and one that contains any viewing Physician's (or Health Care Professional's) comments on that particular article.

The second section of the Library (called the Periodicals Room) is simply a set of links to the online locations of the various medical journals: New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, etc.

The third section is called the Reference Room and contains links to other sites that sometimes pertinent, and sometimes just plain interesting. Finally, there is a link to a separate catch-all discussion section for any kind of comments — a graffiti section, as it were — where viewers may dialog with each other.

LYME & DISEASE CHECKLIST Section: This section contains two very powerful check-tools for one who might want to evaluate if he suffers from Lyme. One is a short checklist; the second one is long and intense, but comprehensive essay written by John D. Bleiweiss, MD. This section also contains a link to a Candida Albicans diagnostic checklist, a condition that is common and often unrecognized in lyme sufferers.

FEEDBACK / FURTHER INFORMATION
FEEDBACK / FURTHER INFORMATION Section: We would love to have your input and feedback on either the site itself, or on specific content, such as Physician's comments to be appended to one or more of the medical journal articles. There's also a section to request further information from us on any area.
